Justice and Accountability of Retailers
Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has taken decisive action against fraudulent activities at its tehsil office in Multan. In this latest update, the BISP team caught retailers red-handed who were embezzling program funds. The action is aimed at strengthening BISP’s transparency and accountability policies and ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of financial assistance to deserving individuals.
Successful execution of the program
10 retailers arrested for embezzlement in Multan
BISP South Punjab Zonal Director, Saima Bashir, made a surprise visit to the veterinary hospital camp in Kabirwala, Chak Hyderabad and exposed the corruption of the retailers. During the visit, it was found that 10 stores were involved in financial irregularities. Taking immediate action, BISP recovered Rs 77,500 from these retailers and registered an FIR against them.

BISP has started distribution of fresh installment of Rs.13,500. Financial assistance is being provided to the deserving people through this installment. Widows, teachers, government employees and other eligible persons can avail this amount by verifying their CNIC.

Any person who wants to check their eligibility can visit the BISP website and verify their identity through CNIC number. Also, individuals have to approach their account or respective bank to get the money.
