The 37-year-old wicketkeeper-batter smashed his 12th Test century, scoring a resilient 163 off 350 deliveries. With this knock, Rahim became the oldest non-opener in Test cricket history to score a century, overtaking Pakistan legend Younis Khan, who previously held the record after scoring a ton at 37 years and 216 days in 2015—also against Sri Lanka.
